Ole smilin' George, our very first veteran.
Well, it's Veterans Day, and I'm a veteran so I thought I'd do a tribute to George Washington. After all, he was our first veteran. "First in war, first in peace, etc." And besides, today's date is 11/11/11, so why not?

I've assembled a gaggle of Georges that I've done over the years. I hope it's a fitting tribute.

Technical notes: These images were created with more tools, processes, techniques, hardware, and software than tongue can tell. Most of the information is lost in my digital past. I do remember that the subject charged me a dollar to pose, and that he held real still as I worked.
